After a packed Area Board meeting last night and a near 9,000 signature petition collected so far, Wiltshire council may over-rule the Vision Board, and delay and withdraw the chopping down of the Market Sq Trees.

This seems likely as a special Area Board meeting will take place on 10th October at 7pm at South Wilts girls school, to discuss the Market Sq project, probably focussing on the Trees and the War Memorial; two of the most controversial aspects of the enhancement.
