Plans to refurbish Queen Elizabeth gardens were approved last week, at a packed meeting.

It was refreshing to see so many residents at this meeting; something amiss since the Wiltshire takeover.

The controversial ‘platform’ was deleted from the scheme, along with some seating at one of the entrances. 

The wrongly named ‘amphitheatre’ which is tiered seating, no higher than already exists was kept, but the name was deleted.

Unfortunately, the low level lighting was kept in the scheme.  I voted against this, siting possible future vandalism and asked for my recorded dissent in the Minutes on this matter.  I hope i am wrong!
